about me
My name is Sophie Deutschman. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.
I've worked at KIMT News 3 as a producer since August of 2021.
I currently live in Rochester, MN but I'm from Oakdale, MN.
My passions include poetry, politics and people. During my free time I enjoy reading, rollerblading and hanging out with friends and fur baby Loki.
My favorite book is The Stand by Stephen King and my favorite TV show is 30 Rock.
My biggest flaws are eating too fast, consuming too many energy drinks and napping for way longer than I should. My strengths include caring about things way too much, speed reading and looking at things creatively.
Journalist, Poet and Writer
I enjoy writing about a wide range of topics including: art, entertainment, lifestyle, opinion and political pieces. I also enjoy writing scripts and shooting feature pieces on relevant and recent topics. I strive to remain objective in my writing. I also maintain journalistic ethics by seeking and reporting on the truth.
My writing strengths include poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction. I have experience in writing advertisements, articles, short stories, poetry and prose. What makes my writing special is the dedication and personality I bring to every project. I have a strong work ethic and I love learning from mistakes and hearing critiques, but most of all I love to challenge myself.
